How does it work?
To access the sitter course, you need to register on the website. After registering and paying for the course, you can access the material. The course is entirely online, and you can access the material from your profile by clicking the "Login" button on the website (after entering your details). After successfully completing the course, we will issue a certificate, which will be sent to you by email.
How long does it take to complete the course?
You can start the course anytime and complete it at your own pace. On average, it takes about 2-3 weeks to learn the material.
You will have lifetime access to the course, so you can revisit it at any time. At the end of the course, you can apply for the online video chat exam, after which you will become a certified professional sitter!
What will I learn in the sitter training?
The course provides all the practical knowledge needed for safe pet supervision:

What is the exam like?
You will find a scheduling system for the exam at the end of the course. The exam is conducted via online video chat, where we’ll ask about your pet-owning experience, motivation, and the course material. After passing the exam, we will issue a certificate and send it to you by email!
What jobs can I take on as a sitter?
After passing your exam, you can create your sitter profile on www.petwisecare.com! Pet owners will contact you here, and you can communicate with them. As a sitter, you decide which jobs and how many you want to take on, such as:
- Dog walking
- Daycare supervision
- Long-term supervision (e.g., during holidays)
- 24-hour supervision
- Drop-in visits (feeding, watering, playing)
- Overnight supervision

How much can I earn?
It completely depends on you: each of our sitters prices their services individually and each of our sitters decides for themselves how much work they undertake and for how much. You can deviate from this at your own discretion, depending on the specific tasks, the number of animals, and the location.

Can anyone become a sitter?
Anyone can complete the sitter training, but you must be over 18 to take jobs through petwisecare.com.
Can I only complete the course if I want to become a sitter?
No, you can take the course even if you don't want to work as a sitter or if you're under 18.
Do I have to provide food for the pet I'm looking after?
It is the responsibility of the animal's owner to provide adequate quantity and quality of food in his absence. We recommend that you should call the owner's attention to stock enough food for your pet. If you have to solve the purchase of the power supply, agree on the source of purchase, the date and the method of payment in advance.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email; what should I do?
Check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, contact our customer service at [email protected].
Can I edit/change my profile later after registration?
Yes, you can change the information displayed on your profile at any time. After logging in, you can edit the desired profile under the menu item "Service Provider Profiles" in the left menu.
How do I reject the reservation if I can't make it for some reason?
In the "reservations" menu, select the reservation you want to reject. You must click on the "Cancel" button at the bottom of the page and explain why you are canceling the reservation!
How do I cancel the reservation if I have already accepted, made an offer, but still cannot accept?
If you cannot fulfill the reservation after the offer has been sent you can cancel by clicking the "Cancel" button at the bottom of the page. IN ALL CASES, WRITE A MESSAGE TO THE OWNER WHY YOU CANNOT ACCEPT THE SITTER REQUEST AND RECOMMEND HIM TO CHOOSE ANOTHER SITTER FROM THE SITE.
How can I delete my profile?

How can I hide my profile if I don't want to work for a while?
After logging in, you will find the "deactivate" button on the right side of the given profile under the menu item "provider profiles" in the left menu. You can change this back on at any time.
How do I receive my payment?
During registration, you need to create a Barion account. Payments from pet owners will be transferred to your Barion wallet after the sitting is completed.
Is PetWiseCare my employer?
No, PetWiseCare does not employ sitters. In all cases, your principal is the animal keeper. You have the opportunity to work as a domestic employee, as a private individual with a tax number, or as an individual entrepreneur. We recommend that you discuss the best form of taxation with an accountant.
What is a transfer agreement?
A document that can be filled out and signed either online or printed out, with which you can verify the condition of the animal upon receipt and upon return. In the event of a complaint, it can be useful to verify the circumstances.
